Two months ago, I posted an Action called "Face Facts," and I wrote about the weight I had gained over the previous months. Since then, I have been much more focused on my training and nutrition.
But, over the last couple of weeks, I have been more indulgent than I should be for someone running a marathon in May. My training has been inconsistent and my weekend eating has been way off track. All and all, I worried that I was in for a shock this morning when I went to the gym and weighed in.
Action 346 - See Results. Before I stood on the scale, I set the weight to 200 pounds. Yes, I was that concerned. I stepped on and was very, very happy to see that the scale stayed solidly pegged down. Nope, I wasn't 200 pounds again. I adjusted the weight to 195, to 190, and finally down to 188.5. And that was it.
I can't tell you how happy I was to see that number on the scale. My big fear was that I had gained a lot of weight back over the last few weeks. Truth is, I could have been better, but I still maintained control over many of the basics. My day-to-day eating is great and I am pretty active. And the numbers confirm that.
See Results. And I did. Now, I need to make sure I keep that number moving in the right direction.
