Throwback Thursday - A Week On Maui

It's Throwback Thursday, and today we're going back to October 2003. I was fortunate enough to spend a week on the island and it was amazing.

First up, meet the locals.

And here I am, all smiles. All that's missing is a Mai Tai and some snacks.

I cannot say enough good things about Maui and how wonderful it is to visit there. And I can't wait to get back again and spend more time chilling out and relaxing island style.

Throwback Thursday - A Very Wendy Weekend

It's Throwback Thursday, and today we're going back to July 2012. Our friend, Wendy, was visiting San Diego and we decided to crank up the fun factor to 10!

Ric started everything off with a mimosa brunch.

Wendy immediately began to question her fashion choices.

I, on the other hand, was confident in my Magic Mike outfit.

Must I even say it? We're adorable!

Andrea, Kelsey, and Wendy were all smiles.

And Ric closed out the weekend with yet another amazing brunch.

It was just another wonderful weekend full of laughs, good times, and great friends. And looking back, I just remember the whole thing as one happy moment. I absolutely cannot wait to be able to spend time like this again when the world opens back up.

And Wendy? She really needs to come visit us again soon.

Throwback Thursday - A Cruise to Cabo

It's Throwback Thursday, and today we're going back in time to October 2008. Ric and I had both just been laid off from our jobs and LandAmerica as the housing market crashed, and we were feeling a bit gloomy. Then along came Andrea and her offer to take us a cruise. Of course, we said yes!

We sailed aboard the Carnival Cruise Elation.

And by "we sailed," I mean someone else did all the work and I Just lounged around.

We were joined by our amazing friend, "Doctor" Nurse Off Duty Bridgette

We had one Port Call in Cabo San Lucas and we made the most of it.

Did I mention there was karaoke on ship and Ric just loved endured it?

Sure, this picture is in every beach and ship photo album. Whatever. We had fun!

It was a brief but wonderful escape from the real world and we all had a wonderful time. And if I promise Ric there will be no karaoke, maybe I can get him to do this again!

Throwback Thursday - A Pacific Beach Pub Crawl

It's Throwback Thursday, and today we're going back in time to June 2015. It was shaping up to be just another Saturday until we decided to make our way to Pacific Beach and show our Kiwi friend some of the sights.

We started with lunch at the only Kiwi Bar we know.

Then we stopped for the obligatory beach background photo.

Throwback Thursday - All That Hair

It's Thursday, so it's time again to dig into the archives and share something from back in the day. Today, it's a photo of me taken... I think... around 1982. My helmet-shaped deed red hair and I would have been about fifteen years old. I don't miss wearing my hair that long, and I still love that I have so much of it, but I do miss the color. Being a redhead was way cooler when my hair was still red.
