Action 198 - Go Meatless.

Tomorrow is the Great American Meatout.
Meatout is an international observance helping individuals evolve to a wholesome, compassionate diet of fruits, vegetables, whole grains. The purpose is to expose the public to the joys and benefits of a plant-based diet, while promoting the availability and selection of alternatives to meat and dairy in mainstream grocery stores, restaurants, and catering operations.

Personally, I think they would be more likely to encourage participation if they skipped the arrogant condescension ("helping individuals evolve to a wholesome, compassionate diet"), but that's neither here nor there for me. I am participating because I know that I need to incorporate more fruits, veggies and whole grains into my diet, and this event is a good excuse to try it for a day. I am sure I will always enjoy eating meat, but I don't necessarily need to do so at every meal.

Action 198 - Go Meatless. I decided to get a jump on the official Meatout and try a vegetarian lunch a day early. I went to a place near my gym called Loving Hut, and I tried their dish called Tangy Orange. It's a veggie fillet with orange sauce, carrots, cucumbers and cilantro served with brown rice with sesame seed.

It was absolutely delicious. It was all I could do to not eat the paper container the lunch came in. If this is vegetarianism, I'm in!
