I set out today to run a 10K through Balboa Park and my goal was to finish in under one hour. The Garmin tells the story.
I didn't make it. I came in thirty-eight seconds too late to hit my goal.
Action 183 - Take The Hit. Not every immediate goal is going to be realized. I'm not going to make every mark along the way. But so what?
I'm not going to let it bother me. I just ran over six miles and did it with sub-ten minute miles. Yes, I wanted to be faster. But there is nothing wrong with my pace and certainly no reason to be upset.
I'll take the hit and move on. A good run is still a good run.
