Action 166 - Cue The Tunes.

When I run Pasadena, I'll be running by myself. My partner-in-crime has decided to sit this one out, as he has already run multiple marathons. So it will be me and my music for nearly five hours and twenty-six miles.

Action 166 - Cue The Tunes. Over the next couple of months, I will be building the perfect running playlist. I will select five hours of music, no more and no less. And every song has to be fuel for my head and my heart as I run.. and run... and run.

One song that I know will make the cut is Cake's The Distance. I had never heard it until Denise Hilton sent me the link to this video. It was created by Ryan Southwell, an incredibly talented filmmaker. His video convinced me to be brave, say yes, and run my first Ragnar Relay last year with eleven total strangers... Ryan being one of them.

Ragnar Relay : Las Vegas from Ryan Southwell on Vimeo.

Thanks, Ryan, for the great tune and the amazing video. Whenever I'm running and this song comes on my iPod, I can't help but remember my own fantastic Ragnar experience. And I'll definitely be cranking this tune up as I run the streets of Pasadena.

One song down, many more still to go.
