Not sure what drag queens have to do with gratitude? I wasn't either, at first. But after reading my Grateful AF card a few times and really being open to the message, I get it.
Drag queens have been around since the first man felt pretty wrapped up in a hand-made fur coat. And they have been part of the gay community since the first one of those existed, too. And in all of those years - so, so many years - those same drag queens have been out front, out loud, and out protecting and defending all the other people in their tribes. They have done so much, most importantly standing up and being willing to be seen and heard in public demanding equality and justice. I've been saying as much for more than twenty years, now.
And for all of that, yes, I am grateful AF.
