There is an organization called Freedom is not Free, and their mission is as simple as it is vital.
Freedom Is Not Free is a mission driven organization – Aiding our wounded troops, their families, and the families of the fatally wounded. Freedom Is Not Free is a non-partisan, non-profit 501 (c) (3), organization (EIN#47-0951987). All administrative expenses are paid for by members of the Patriot Advisory Board ensuring that 100% of donations go to support programs and grants. All funds are allocated by “those who have been there,” active duty and veteran Purple Heart recipients and their survivors (Purple Heart Board).
Since its establishments in 2005, Freedom Is Not free has raised funds and awareness with the aim of easing our heroes’ and their families’ burdens. We have assisted with travel expenses for families of fallen heroes; purchased “burn-beds” for road side bomb victims; helped to refurbish the Wounded Warrior Barracks, Camp Pendleton, CA; arranged the venue and accommodations for a surviving spouse conference; allocated funds for the purchase of equipment to convert conventional clothing into burn victim tear-aways; and paid utility bills, made mortgage payments and provided funds for living expenses for recovering warriors facing extreme financial hardship.
So you know what they do, and you want to help. But you still wonder, what is in it for me? What about me? What about my needs? Worry no more, as they have that covered.
Some of the hottest hunks in the Marine Corps are posing for the America’s Heroes 2007 Calendar to raise money for wounded service members and their families. Sergeant Rodolfo “Rudy” Reyes, and 9 other members of the elite Reconnaissance Marines are leaving women panting and men wanting to enlist. The ten men who pose in the America’s Heroes 2007 Calendar are all current or former elite Reconnaissance Marines with combat experience. None are professional models (but they could be!) So move over Matthew McConaughey and Patrick Dempsey, “sexiest men alive,” you may have some stiff competition. $14.99
But you're still wondering. How hot can they be? Well, I can do better than tell you. I can show you. Prepare to be impressed.
This is the calendar cover.
And this is the whole calender.
So, what are you waiting for? Support the troops and make yourself happy at the same time. Think of this as the gay version of "Lap Dance for Charity."(And a hat tip and thanks to Mom, who first told me about this organization!)
